Ghost is a Swedish rock band formed in Linköping in 2006, built around the creative vision of frontman and songwriter Tobias Forge. Known for their theatrical, costumed stage presence — with masked musicians called “Nameless Ghouls” and a revolving cast of lead personas under the “Papa Emeritus” character — Ghost blends hard rock, heavy metal, and arena pop into a singular and unmistakable sound steeped in occult imagery and dark theatrics. Since their debut album Opus Eponymous in 2010, Ghost have grown from a cult underground act into one of rock’s most captivating live experiences. Their 2015 single “Cirice” earned a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance, and their 2025 album Skeletá debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Influenced by everything from Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd to Kiss and David Bowie, Ghost delivers spectacle without sacrificing melody — making every show feel like a ritual.
