Adept is a Swedish metalcore band from Trosa, formed in 2004. Built around the relentless energy of vocalist Robert Ljung and a lineup sharpened over two decades of touring and recording, the band blends crushing metalcore riffs with post-hardcore intensity to create a sound that is both aggressive and deeply melodic. After releasing four albums between 2009 and 2016 — including Death Dealers and Sleepless on Napalm Records — Adept took an extended break before returning to the stage in 2024 for a triumphant 20th anniversary show in Germany. Their long-awaited fifth album, Blood Covenant, arrived in 2025, produced with longtime collaborator Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, Bring Me the Horizon, At the Gates), proving that Adept’s drive and edge remain fully intact after all these years.
